In the Homestead, FL area, Corey Sanders is a coach, mentor and tough basketball trainer. He knows players must have a serious skill set to play at the next level. He has his own set of accomplishments, as a player and as a decorated coach. But Corey’s real strength is that he instills discipline in his players. He knows that hard work and concentration will refine their athletic abilities…and it also refines their classroom skills. Mental dexterity is as important as fancy footwork.
He has helped students of all ages develop into productive players at schools like University of Memphis, Martin Methodist, Southwest Tennessee CC, and Southeast Missouri State, and has sent a few to semi-pro teams. Risk Taker Basketball trains players on and off the court, from elementary school age to the pro level. As the proud founder of Risk Taker Basketball, Corey understands that personal guidance and friendship can provide the physical skills and emotional nurturing necessary for true success in every aspect of life.
Coach Corey Sanders is passionate about basketball, helping kids, and his faith. Whatever the skill level of the child, he wants to help them get to the next level. Because the game of basketball is always evolving, Coach Corey is serious about staying current in the world of basketball. He believes that rigorous training is a must. The training program includes improvement skills such as speed, agility, shooting, passing, dribbling, offensive and defensive moves, angles plus strength and conditioning.
However, Risk Taker Basketball is not just about developing great players. Through basketball, the program is also mentoring kids and helping them grow in life. Through this program, kids learn discipline, skill mastery, and leadership. Through his mastery of basketball, John Harris is also a strong positive force in many kids' lives.
One of his colleagues, Ian Kallusingh, a coach for South Dade High School says Coach Corey, “Is one of the most committed coaches to improving not only basketball players, but people. His positive energy is contagious and the way he shares his knowledge keeps players engaged. Simply put, Coach Corey will make you better!”
There are three ways that kids can get involved with Risk Taker Basketball. The Academy integrates group training and 2v2 and 3v3 basketball games. Group Training allows players to hone in on specific skills in a small group environment three times a week. Private lessons are also available on request. Camps are intensive training programs during school holidays and the summer.
If you want to help Coach Corey develop the skills and character of young basketball players near Homestead, FL you can!
